Bo Johns-Hennessy is a strategy and transformation leader with experience across the real estate, construction, and technology ecosystem. He has spent his career at the intersection of the built environment and digital innovation, helping organizations accelerate growth, improve efficiency, and build modern, technology-enabled operating platforms. Most recently an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, he partnered with C-suite leaders to design strategic roadmaps, scale digital capabilities, and lead cross-functional teams transforming operations and building digital tools.
Bo is a dedicated Lehigh volunteer and community leader. He currently serves on the Alumni Association Board of Directors and the College of Arts and Sciences External Dean’s Advisory Council. His previous university roles include serving as President of the Young Alumni Council, Executive Chair of the Lehigh Club of Washington, D.C., and an Alumni Volunteer for Admissions, where he supported alumni engagement and university leadership initiatives.
Beyond Lehigh, Bo co-founded The GO BO GO Fund during his own cancer treatment as a teenager, and over the past two decades the fund has raised nearly $1 million to support pediatric patients and their families. He also serves on the National Board of the Foundation for Community Betterment, providing immediate, direct-impact assistance to individuals, families, and community organizations across the country.
Bo graduated from Lehigh in 2014 with a BA in Architecture and a BS in Civil Engineering through the Arts and Engineering dual-degree program. He’s a native Washingtonian and lives in Washington, D.C., with his husband, Mike, and their shih tzus, Wally and Foyer.
