Our staff must maintain a professional demeanor, be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities, possess strong interpersonal communication skills and an even temperament, and work well with others as well as independently. Paid Usher (WS level 1): *all positions filled* Serve patrons attending Zoellner performances by providing stellar service. Check tickets, operate scanners, seat patrons, and enforce Front of House policy. Assist in evacuation of theatre(s) in case of emergency. Also sell merchandise and staff coat room. Customer service or sales experience preferred. Shifts dependent on event needs, mostly Fri-Sun. Busiest months are October, December, and April - June.
House Assistant (WS level 2 or wage position): * all positions filled* All paid usher duties, plus: Assist latecomers; patrons with special needs, monitor lobbies and theatres, configure barcode scanners, and prepare theatres for events. Coordinate with House Manager by radio, requiring strong communication skills. Ability to work independently is a must. Most shifts are Friday- Sunday.
Ticket Services Representative (WS level 2 or wage position): *all positions filled* Deliver excellent customer service as “the face” of Zoellner. Sell tickets and packages, provide information to patrons and students, and handle general inquiries via phone, email, mail, and in-person. Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail required; box office experience preferred. Position also includes data projects and general office duties as assigned. Candidates may also be asked to assist with social media and outreach. Schedules are flexible, with a minimum of 4 hrs per week during office hours as well as evenings/weekends for events. Office hours: Tues 12-6pm; Wed-Fri 12-5pm. Events: 2 hours prior to curtain through intermssion.
House Manager (wage position, Grad Student or local professionals only): The House Manager is responsible for patron's safety and overall experience while attending events at Zoellner Arts Center. The house manager supervises front of house staff while coordinating with ticket managers and production managers to ensure the smooth execution of scheduled events. The ideal candidate will have managerial experience and strong skills in communication, delegation, and customer service. Must be able to work independently to assign tasks to ushers and house assistants while greeting and directing the flow of patrons within the venue. Hours are flexible, mostly nights and weekends. Building Monitor (WS levels 1-4): Building monitors will supervise the use of Zoellner's classrooms, practice rooms and public spaces after hours, ensuring they are maintained properly and locked at the end of the shift. Other responsibilities include various routine and occasional building wide duties. Shifts are scheduled between 430pm-11:00pm every day and all day Saturday and Sundays starting at 9am-11pm. Hiring minimum is for 2 shifts per week.
Lighting Technician (WS levels 1-4): Assist Zoellner’s lighting department in various performance spaces and on different types of productions. No experience required, but must be able to follow directions, be on time, and willing to learn. It can be a physically demanding job; you may get dirty and work on ladders in/on high locations. Duties may include: clerical paperwork; hanging, focusing, and maintaining lighting equipment; performing work notes, programming and/or operating lighting systems for productions. Work independently and as part of a group. There is also the possibility of leading lighting work calls for the Department of Theatre dependent upon experience.
Stage Assistant (WS levels 2-3): Assist Stage and Events Coordinator. Duties include general stage maintenance, classroom and lobby setups/strikes and inventory upkeep. Responsibilities also include keeping a clean and organized work space to ensure a safe and efficient work area.
Stage Technician (WS levels 2-4 or wage position): Assist tech staff supporting 200+ events. Hang and focus lights, set up audio equipment, erect scenery and run shows in Baker Hall. Hours are flexible; many are nights and/or weekends. No experience required, but backstage knowledge a plus.
Video Operator (WS levels 2-3 or wage position): Assist with setup and operation of video recording systems for recording and live streaming events. Setup and operate video systems for projection of video content. Experience and an interest in video systems is a plus but not required.

Sound Technician (WS level 2): Assist the Audio Coordinator in: basic maintenance, set up, and strike of live sound/recording equipment; maintenance and upkeep of center's audio areas. No experience required, but prior live audio experience a plus. Candidates that have previous experience or show aptitude and reliability may be considered to operate sound equipment for various projects. Must be able to lift between 30-60 pounds. Hours vary, some nights and weekends possible.

Campus Engagement Assistant (WS level 3-4 or wage position): Support the Campus Engagement Manager in executing interdisciplinary arts programming on the Creative Campus Series. This position is primarily administrative, with the opportunity to engage with the campus through on-site events additionally. Administrative tasks include, but are not limited to:
•Digital filing and organization
•Attending events (to take attendance, represent the organization at a table, etc.)
•Capturing photos
•Assisting with the creation of digital materials like flyers
Schedule is between 5-15 hours/week and will work directly with the Campus Engagement Manager on scheduling on a regular basis. Some remote work pending Manager approval is possible.
Candidates must be a third-year, fourth-year, or graduate LU student with some prior administrative experience. Ideal majors for those interested in this position include, but are not limited to: Sociology, Business, Theatre, and Education.

Costume Shop Assistant (WS levels 2-4): assist with the construction and alterations of costumes for the Department of Theatre productions and other events as needed. Hours dependent on schedule and work study allotment, minimum two hours per day. Shop hours are 1-5 pm Monday - Friday, with occasional nights and weekends available. Previous experience and knowledge of machine sewing and hand sewing encouraged. Other skills such as wig, makeup and other crafts a plus.
Scene Shop Assistant (WS levels 2-4): *positions filled* assist with the construction and installation of scenery for Department of Theatre productions, and other tasks as needed. Hours dependent on schedule and work study allotment, minimum two hours per day. Shop hours are 1-5pm Monday - Friday, with occasional nights and weekends. Previous experience and knowledge of wood working tools and construction methods encuraged; welding and metal working skills a plus.

Visitor Services Representative (WS level 2): Lehigh University Art Galleries is looking for a hardworking and responsible Federal Work Study student to join their team. The purpose of this role is to assist the Galleries by offering exceptional customer service to guests as well as completing administrative and other tasks as assigned. Museum Educator (WS level 4): The Museum Educator works with the LUAG Education and Visitor Services staff to plan, design, and implement education and interpretation programs for the campus and community. Students will have the opportunity to interact with diverse audiences, assist with exhibition-related/curriculum-based art projects for various age groups, collaborate with visiting artists, and more. Students assist with administrative tasks, help staff to implement a range of programs on weekdays, weekends, and evenings, and create content for virtual programs. Depending on a student’s interests, they may also research and present a gallery talk or other public program. Museum Educators should be friendly, energetic, highly motivated, and creative; and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude towards interacting with learners of all ages. MuseumCollections & Digitization Assistant (WS level 3): Lehigh University Art Galleries is looking for a hardworking and responsible Federal Work Study student to join their team. The purpose of this role is to support the LUAG Collections and Exhibitions staff to document, care for, and showcase artwork in the museum’s permanent collections. Students will collaborate with staff to assist with and complete physical or digital projects related to diverse artworks and ongoing department needs.
